Christmas Treats – Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Cookie Cups
We made these adorable Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Cookie Cups the other day for my sons 6th grade class. The kids just loved these fun Christmas Treats and they are so easy to make!
This idea comes from my talented friend Norene’s book Sweet Treats for the Holidays. Everything in this book is so adorable & you are going to love it!
Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Cookie Cups
Jet-Puffed Marshmallows
Maravillas Cookies
Mini Candy Canes
Red & Green Confetti Sprinkles
Tree Sprinkles
White & Chocolate Cookie Icing
Marshmallow Bits
Directions
Add a dot of the white icing to the edges of the cookies. Then place your confetti sprinkles rotating colors like this…
Add the white icing on the bottom of the marshmallow and then place it on the cookie. Squeeze chocolate icing on top & spread around using the tip or a tooth pick….
Place 3-4 marshmallow bits on top of the chocolate icing…
Cut the tops off of the mini candy canes using kitchen scissors (they will not crumble)…
Attach the candy cane on the side of the marshmallow using just a small amount of the white icing on the ends…
Attach the tree sprinkle on the front of the marshmallow using your white icing…
Here are some of the supplies you will need to make these fun Christmas treats (affiliate link)…
They are so little & cute!
You can make a bunch on these in no time at all & these are easy enough for the kids to create all by themselves!
My sons 6th grade class absolutely loved them!
We hope that you like our recreation of Party Pinching’s Hot Cocoa Cookies & make sure to check out her book Sweet Treats for the Holidays for a ton of other fun treat ideas!

where can you find the cookies
i googled-walmart sells them
These are too cute! We have got to make them for our Hot Chocolate Bar for Xmas Eve!
This would be so neat done for Valentines day too!
I was thinking for Valentines day as well. You could use heart sprinkles and a large conversation heart with the point stuck in the side for the handle.
Great idea!!

Making these for my family cookie day
All entries are to be baked somehow so I am making easy shortbread cookies for the bottom and chocolate wafer cookies for the top. A little more work but hopefully it wil pay off! Thanks for the great idea!!
I would like to make these ahead for a cookie exchange……what would be the best way to keep them fresh (i.e. the marshmallow soft)? Will these store?
Yes…store them in an air tight container.
These are SO cute! Can you use canned frosting instead of cookie icing?
These are so cute!!! I am totally going to make them for my friends! Do you think it’s a good idea for a small Christmas gathering? ❤️
How can you keep the marshmallows from getting stale if you’re making them for a party?
