Slow Cooker Gingerbread Latte

If you love gingerbread latte, you are going to love this recipe. By making it in the crock pot, you have it ready for whenever you or your guests want a cup. No fuss, no muss, everyone will love to sip on a cup of this holiday flavored classic.

Should I Use Fresh Ginger in This Latte?

While this is gingerbread flavored, you do not want to use fresh ginger. Fresh ginger will be too strong and will not dissolve to evenly flavor the latte. You want to use the ground ginger from the spice section to give this the best flavor possible.

What Does Gingerbread Latte Taste Like?

A gingerbread latte is a combination of coffee and gingerbread. The espresso powder gives this a strong coffee flavor, while the molasses, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger bring in the gingerbread flavors.

Can I Make This Gingerbread Latte Mix as a Gift?

If you wanted to make this as a mix to give as a gift, you would take the dry ingredients like the espresso, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger in a jar. You can then add a card listing the other ingredients needed and how to make it. Another option is to add powdered milk and then the person would only need to add water, instead of half and half.
