Rob Kenney, who lives in Bellevue Washington, grew up without a dad himself. Oftentimes he would find himself without answers to questions he needed help with, questions only a father could answer.

This is where he got his inspiration behind the YouTube channel. When he became a father himself, he was dedicated to becoming the best dad he could be. Eventually, he turned that into his channel.

In an interview with Shattered, he shared, “My goal in my life was to raise good adults. I never wanted to be wealthy. I never wanted to be necessarily successful. My goal in life was to raise good adults—not good children but good adults—because I had a fractured childhood.”

YouTube Channel

His YouTube channel is called, ‘Dad, how do I?”

He realized that not everyone had a dad like himself in their life, so he began his channel to help those in need. Because he knew what it felt like, he did not want anyone else to grow up without help from a father figure.

He teaches a variety of things including how to change a tire, tie a tie, shave, unclog a tub, or get ready for their job interview.

What an amazing man for helping those who don’t have a dad. He is an inspiration to many and now has gone viral for his videos. Many are finding answers to exactly what they are seeking.

Way to go Rob! Such an incredible dad to make these helpful YouTube channel for those without a dad or father figure in their life.

As someone who grew up without a dad, as my parents divorced when I was seven, this is such a great thing this man is doing for others in the same situation.

Yesterday, my brother and I had to figure out how to hang some new blinds in a window in our home for the first time in our lives. We didn’t have anyone that we could ask to show us how to do it, so I looked for a video on Youtube, and found one for blinds similar to what we had bought. It helped us a lot in figuring out how to do it. So there IS DEFNITELY a need for how-to videos like what this man is doing, to help those who never had a parental guide to help them learn how to do things they will need to do throughout their lives.
