Very easy and delicious! I made both muffins and patted out and cut. I baked in a cast iron skillet. Turned out great! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Sherry!
Can these be rolled & cut out like homemade biscuits instead cooking like muffins ?
Hi Lisa. Yes, this recipe would work as well to roll out and cut.
Can you make this with regular gluten free flour?
Hi Tabatha. Yes GF flour would work as well but if it’s not self-rising you will need to add 1/2 teaspoon fine salt and 3 teaspoons baking powder to the 2 cups of flour.
Can these be made with a flour substitute? Like almond flour? They sound and look delicious!

I will make these again but next time add some garlic to the mix. After baking, top with a favorite cheese.
I always have the ingredients on hand. So easy to make, especially if I take butter out to soften the night before. Tastes great!
Don’t 2 sticks of butter = 1 cup? I am confused about how much butter to use. These sound absolutely delicious.
Hi Wendy. Yes, it should read 1 cup or 2 sticks.
I made these this morning and they were hit with the whole family. They were fluffy and moist on the the inside and a little crunchy on the top. Just the way my family likes them. I have tried lots of recipes but this is my new go to biscuit recipe. So easy. I baked mine for 23 minutes.
Glad the family approved. Thanks Susan!
