DIY Giant Spiders

If you are the ones who like to go all out for Halloween with your decorations, you are going to love this! It will take your house to the next level and might scare your friends and family in the process!

The nice thing about these DIY spiders is that they are so easy to make, yet they look very realistic!

Here are the supplies you will need to make these spiders:

  • wire,
  • spheres,
  • foam tubes,
  • and fabric to resemble spider fur

You can find all of these items at your local craft store!

How to Make These Spiders

First, you will want to hot glue the foam half balls together to resemble the spider’s body. Then, trace out and cut some of the faux fur or fabric that looks like spider fur to fit on the foam half balls. Next, of course, attach to the foam balls.

After you finish with the body, you will want to cut out 8 wires long enough to look like spider legs. Poke holes in the fur and foam, add glue to each of the wires and attach to the body of the spider. You will do that for each of the 8 legs.

Once the wires are secure inside the body, bend the end of the wire to make a loop. Then, cut out 8 foam tubes for the legs. Slide each foam tube over the wire. Secure the foam tubes by folding the loop at the end of the wire onto the foam. Finally, glue the tubes to the fur for added protection.

Then, you get to bend the legs however you desire to make it look realistic!

If you’re not the crafty type, you can Purchase Giant Spiders already made!

This is such a fun and easy way to get ready for Halloween. It is simple enough your kids can do it with you! Who is going to make these DIY giant spiders this year?
