This delicious simple New York Fudge Instant Chocolate Fudge Cake is a rich and delicious. This chocolate cake is topped with a cream cheese glaze and then chocolate ganache. What sets this delicious chocolate cake above the rest is the addition of walnuts. The chocolate ganache is then topped with more walnuts.

Ingredients

  • Triple chocolate cake mix
  • Eggs
  • Water
  • Oil
  • Walnuts
  • Pecans
  • Powdered sugar
  • Cream cheese
  • Vanilla extract
  • Whole milk
  • Semi sweet chocolate chips
  • Heavy whipping cream

How to Make Instant Pot Chocolate Fudge Cake

In a bowl, mix together the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil.

Fold in the walnuts.

Grease and flour the pan. Fill the pan 3/4 of the way full.

Add the water in the inner pot and place the trivet inside.

Make a foil sling and use it to lower the cake pan into the pot on top of the trivet.

Close lid and set to sealing. Set it to high pressure for 35 minutes.

When it done, do a Quick pressure release.

Let the cake cool on a cooling rack for 30-60 minutes.

Use a knife to gently separate the cake from the sides of the bundt pan and move the cake onto a wire rack above a cookie sheet

How do I Make  the Cream Cheese Glaze

Next, make the Cream Cheese Glaze

In a large bowl, mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until it is combined, creamy and smooth

Pour the glaze over the bundt cake and allow it to set in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Next, make the ganache.

In a pot, heat the heavy cream until it is steaming and almost boiling.

Using a small pot, heat up the heavy whipping cream until slightly boiling

Add the chocolate chips into a heat safe bowl.

Once the cream is ready, pour it over the chocolate chips and let it set for 1 minute.

Whisk until it is smooth.

Pour the ganache over the cake and let it set for a few minutes.

Sprinkle the chopped pecans over the top.

Can You Use a Springform Pan In the Instant Pot?

I am using a bundt pan for this recipe, but you can easily use a springform pan instead of a bundt pan. Use a 7 inch pan that will fit into the inner pot of the Instant Pot.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box triple chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 C chopped Walnuts
  • ½ C chopped pecans for topping

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 2 C powdered sugar
  • ½ C cream cheese room temp
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 TBSP whole milk

Chocolate Ganache

  • 1 C Semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ C heavy whipping cream

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix together the vanilla cake mix, eggs, water, and oil.
  • Fold in the chopped walnuts
  • Grease and flour a 7 inch bundt pan.
  • Pour the cake batter into the bundt pan, about ¾ way full
  • Add 1 cup water to the inner bowl of instant pot. Place trivet inside.
  • Make a foil sling and carefully lower filled bundt pan on top of trivet in the instant pot. Loosely fold foil sling over the top of the bundt pan.
  • Close lid and set to sealing.
  • Cook on high pressure for 35 minutes.
  • Quick pressure release.
  • Let cool on a cooling rack for 30-60 minutes.
  • Use a knife to gently separate the cake from the sides of the bundt pan and empty the cake onto a wire rack above a cookie sheet

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk until combined, creamy and smooth
  • Pour over the bundt cake
  • Allow to set in the fridge for 30 minutes

Chocolate gananche

  • Using a small pot, heat up the heavy whipping cream until slightly boiling
  • Pour chocolate chips into a heat safe bowl
  • Pour heavy whipping cream over the chocolate chips and whisk until smooth
  • Pour the ganache over the cake and let sit for a few minutes
  • Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top
  • Allow ganache to set before cutting and enjoying!
