These red velvet brownies combine two of our favorite flavors! Plus guess what happens to be hiding inside? Oreos! This is the perfect recipe for Valentine’s Day or Christmas… or really, any day!

Red Velvet Brownies
Makes 1 9×13 baking dish
Ingredients
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, divided and melted
- 2 eggs
- 2 packages Winter Oreos
- 1 bag, 11.5 oz milk chocolate chips
- 1 bag 12 oz bag mini chocolate chips
- 1 C heavy whipping cream
- 1 9×13 baking dish fitted with parchment paper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Using a standing mixer, beat together cake mix, 1/2 cup melted butter, and 2 eggs until fully combined and smooth.
- Using your hands, press into the bottom of prepared pan
- Place a few Oreo’s into the brownie mixture and bake for 13 minutes
- Using a ziplock bag, crush 1 package of whole Oreos
- Stir together with remaining 1/2 cup melted butter and mix well.
- Layer the Oreo mixture over the baked red velvet brownies and gently press down
- Using a large mixing bowl, place the milk chocolate chips into it
- Using a sauce pan, bring the heavy cream to a low boil, then pour over the chocolate chips.
- Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk together until completely smooth and thick.
- Pour chocolate ganache over the oreo layer Top with mini chocolate chips.
- Place in the refrigerator for 30-45 mins to allow chocolate ganache to set up.
- Cut into bars and serve with a large glass of milk or coffee!
