How to Make Valentine’s Day Fudge
Prepare an 8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
In a microwave safe bowl, mix together 1 ½ cups of chocolate chips with ½ of sweetened condensed milk and a pinch of salt.
Heat it for 20 seconds intervals until it is melted.
Add the vanilla extract and add 2 drops of red coloring. You can add more or less depending on how deep of a pink color you want.
Spread the mixture evenly into the pan and let it cool for 30 minutes.
Put the remaining white chocolate chips and condensed milk into a microwavable bowl with a pinch of salt.
Heat it for 20 seconds intervals until it is melted.
Add this over the pink layer. Sprinkle with Valentine sprinkles.
Chill the fudge until it is firm. This will take about 2 hours.
Once it is set, cut into squares.
Store the fudge tightly covered at room temperature.
How to Store Fudge
Fudge can be stored at room temperature, in the refrigerator, and in the freezer. The most important thing to know when storing is to make sure it is stored in an airtight container. This is how the fudge will last the longest. When the fudge isn’t covered well, it will go stale and get hard.
Can Valentine’s Day Fudge be Frozen
Whenever we make fudge, I like to store half of it in the freezer. I slice the fudge and then wrap the pieces in wax paper or parchment paper. Then wrap it with plastic wrap. This will keep the fudge fresh.
How Long Does White Chocolate Fudge Last
White chocolate fudge will last for about 2 weeks when it is stored at room temperature. When it is stored in the refrigerator, the fudge will last for about a month. Fudge can be frozen for up to 3 months.
