Cadbury Is Hiring Chocolate Tasters (and so are lots of other places)

Cadbury, the same people who make those Cadbury Creme Eggs that cause thousands to forget counting calories, is hiring people to taste chocolate. Hiring food tasters? YES! Sure, there are some caveats. But tasting chocolate for money? That’s too awesome not to share.

1. You must live in the UK. (Bummer for me.)
2. A passion for confectionary and taste buds for detection
3. Honesty when it comes to giving an opinion
4. Eager to try new inventive products
5. A communicative personality to build great relationships with your panel
6. A firm grasp of the English Language

Contract Testing

This site works with numerous companies who are always hiring food tasters. Register with them and they’ll contact you when there is a tasting job in your area.

From cookies to soup, to soft drinks and french fries, companies will happily pay you to try their products.

What’s really cool about this site? They invite you to enroll your kids as well because there are products they know only a kiddo can review.

Taste of Solae

Much like Contract Testing, this site will match you with foods that need to be tasted when they become available. You only have to register.

The difference is that you are paid in gift cards rather than cash. They have a point system to earn gift cards, but unfortunately, the only thing the site says about how many points you earn is that it varies based on what you test.

They do mention that once you sign up, you can invite other people to join and get 5 extra points toward a gift card.

PT Job in Flavor & Fragrance

1. Must have a high school diploma or GED
2. Must be willing to undergo a background check
3. Test flavors for new products
4. Record findings and thoughts on flavors
5. Learn vocabulary to describe food

The job pays $14 an hour. Not sure where the job is located, but the recruiter is based in Cincinnati.

Experienced /Inexperienced Food Tasters Wanted

1. You will be required to sample different dishes from hotels and restaurants around you and write comprehensively about it, stating opinions, etc.
2. You will need to have excellent written English and good communication skills and most importantly be passionate and adventurous about food!

General Mills Food Taster

1. Taste Panelists will be trained to evaluate the flavor, texture, and appearance of food products and will utilize a rating scale to assess the product.
2. Panelists will work a varied schedule, anywhere from 2-9 hours per week and must not have food allergies.
3. Must enjoy critiquing food flavors and texture and interest in evaluating a variety of food products, including spicy foods• Panelists must not have food allergies.
4. Candidates must not be taking medication which alters their food perception.
