Herbal Flea Spray
This homemade flea spray uses ingredients as lemon juice and witch hazel. They are entirely safe for your pets and kids. A great alternative (that works) compared to chemical sprays.
Herbal Flea Spray ingredients
Make sure to vacuum EVERYWHERE in the house. Collect everything that cannot be vacuumed and wash it using the hottest setting.
Mix the vinegar, water, lemon juice and witch hazel in the sprayer bottle. Spray your carpets, furniture, pet bedding, window sills, floors, every nook and corner of your house. Do this daily for at least 2-7 days depending upon how bad is the flea infestation in your home.
Salt becomes a dehydration agent for fleas and dries out their bodies.
Make sure the salt is ground to a fine salt powder. Sprinkle the salt over your carpets in each room. The salt should cover the area evenly. Leave for 12 hours (or 48 if there is a large infestation). Vacuum after 1-2 days.
Vacuum your carpets thoroughly.
Make sure you get the food grade Diatomaceous Earth which is non-toxic to human beings and animals. Wash off everything that you can’t vacuum, with hot water in your washer. Sprinkle the DE on your carpets, pet beddings etc. Leave it on these areas for 12-48 hours. Vacuum away all the powder and remember to discard the vacuum bag.
