Instant Pot Angel Food Cake with Toffee
Sometimes, you just want a simple dessert that requires almost no work. This Instant Pot Angel Food Toffee Cake doesn’t get any easier. This semi homemade cake bakes in the Instant Pot, creating a moist airy cake and is then topped with a light Cool Whip frosting and covered in toffee bits.
Ingredients
- Betty Crocker Angel Food cake mix
- Water
- Heath toffee bits
- Cool whip
How to make Instant Pot Angel Food Cake
Spray the bundt cake with baking spray.
Mix the cake mix and water together
Pour the cake batter into the pan and cover with foil.
Add water to the Instant Pot and place the trivet inside.
Place the bundt pan into the Instant Pot on top of the trivet.
Close the lids and set the pressure for 35 minutes. Do a natural release for 10 minutes.
Ce the cake has cooled, cut the cake in half horizontally so that there are 2 circles, one for the top and one for the bottom.
Remove the top circle and set it aside.
Frost the top of the bottom half of the cake and add a generous amount of heath bars.
Add the top of the cake and frost the entire the whole cake.
Add heath bits all over the cake and let the cake set for about 1/2 hour.
Cut and enjoy!!
What Size Pan do I Need For An Instant Pot Cake?
For this cake, I like making it as a bundt cake. You will need a cake pan that fits into your Instant Pot. The best size cake pan for an Instant Pot is the 6 inch pan. You can also make this cake in a spring form pan.
Does This Angel Food Cake Have Dates?
This Angel Food Toffee Cake is a basic angel food cake that is covered with toffee bits. It does not have dates in it. You can certainly add the dates to this cake. If you want to add dates to this angel food toffee cake you can add small diced pieces into the cake batter or onto the frosting with the toffee bits.

Ingredients
Cake Ingredients:
- 1 box Betty Crocker Angel Food cake mix
- 1 1/4 C water for cake
- 2 C water for IP
Frosting Ingredients:
- 2 C heath toffee bits crushed
- 1 container Cool whip
Instructions
- Lightly spray bundt pan with oil
- Mix cake mix and 1 1/4 cup water in a bowl.
- Pour into bundt pan.
- Cover with foil
- Pour 2 cups water into the IP inner cooking pot.
- Add trivet and bundt pan.
- Close lid.
- High pressure for 35 minutes.
- Natural Pressure Release for 10 minutes.
Frosting Instructions:
- First, cut your cake in half, horizontally (so it is two circles- one on top of the other).
- Remove the top circle, set aside.
- Frost the top of the bottom half of the cake and generously sprinkle with heath bars.
- Add the top of the cake and frost the entire thing.
- Add heath bits all over the cake.
- Let set for about 1/2 hour, cut and enjoy!!
