I had the privilege of visiting Universal Orlando and had such a fantastic time! My trip inspired us to share these adorable Minion Rice Krispies Treats that are super easy to make. Your little Minion fans will absolutely love these!
Minion Rice Krispies Treats Ingredients
- Rice Krispie Treats: you will need 1 box.
- Candy Melts: yellow and blue are needed.
- Decorating: black and grey cookie icing and edible eyes.
- Equipment: 2 pots to use as a double boiler, a large cookie sheet and parchment paper.
How To Make Minion Rice Krispies Treats
Unwrap the Rice Krispies treats and set aside. Add water into the bottom pot and place on the stove on medium to high heat. Once the water starts simmering add the second pot on top and add the blue candy melts into the top pot and randomly stir the candy melts until they are completely melted. Dip half of the Rice Krispies treat into the the blue candy melt and then place onto the parchment paper.
Once all of the Rice Krispies treats have been half dipped, place into the fridge for 10 minutes to harden. While the treats are in the fridge, clean the pot with the blue candy melt so that you get ready to melt the yellow candy melt. Once the yellow candy melt has been melted, pull out the treats. Dip the top half of the treat into the yellow candy melt. Place onto the parchment paper.
While the yellow is still wet, place on the edible eyes. Using the grey icing, pipe a ‘frame’ around the eyes. Using the black icing, pipe on the side frames. Add smiles and hair using the black icing. Once your minions have been created, set aside to fully dry for 30 minutes.
Super easy right? You can let the kids make these all by themselves…they will have a blast!
Our Universal Orlando Trip
It was my first time staying at Universal Cabana Bay Resort and it was such a fun hotel! Cabana Bay is an awesome on property hotel. You get great perks at Universal, like free transportation and early entry. You can purchase your tickets at the hotel (no waiting at the gate!) and the retro decor are AWESOME!! I Loved the room and the food is also great. They have one of the best quick serve food areas I have ever been to with great prices. The best part of the hotel are the pools! They have a great lazy river…it’s my kind of place and I can’t wait to go back with my family!
I got to hang out at Universal Studios and Island of Adventures and both were so much fun. The new Jimmy Fallen ride is a blast!
The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium is a MUST if you visit Universal Orlando. Amazing desserts, food, and the atmosphere is so much fun!
I spotted adorable Minion treats at Universal that inspired the Minion Rice Krispies Treats above. Aren’t these so cute?!
I have wanted to check out the Cowfish grill for a very long time and was finally able to try it out. It is my now my favorite restaurant at Universal. Everything was fantastic!
I cannot thank Universal Orlando enough for hosting us on our amazing blogging retreat! I would also like to thank Kia for providing amazing transportation for all of us and Squatty Potty for their products that everyone just raves about!
