We were asked to make a few Halloween lunches for New Jersey Family magazine and our lunches were just featured in their October issue! This Mummy Lunch was one of them.
Mummy Sandwich with Coffin Chips
- 1 Slice of Dark German Wheat Bread
- 2 Slices of Provolone Cheese or Mozzarella Cheese Sticks
- 1 Mini Marshmallow
- 1 Raisin
- Cut the edges of the bread to round the corners.
- Take the cheese and cut it into strips. Lay the strips of cheese on the bread crossing each other and leaving a opening for the eyes.
- Cut around the edges and snip off the cheese to fit the bread.
- Cut 1 mini marshmallow in half and place in the opening for the eyes.
- Cut 1 raisin and place on the marshmallow for the pupil.
Coffin Chips
- Tortillas
- Cooking spray
- Kosher salt
- Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees. We placed our tortilla on a cutting board and cut out coffin shapes with a knife or kitchen scissors.
- Take the coffin tortilla shapes and place on a cookie sheet. Spray the tops with cooking spray.
- Flip over and spray the rest. Bake for about 10 minutes flipping over half way.
- Sprinkle with kosher salt when they are finished baking.
