We created these fun Owl Rice Krispie Treats to celebrate the beginning of Fall and my boys thought these were awesome! They are easy to make and the kids will have fun helping make these.
Owl Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats (pre-made)
Caramel Bits
Chocolate Chips
White Chocolate Candy Melts
Pretzel Rods
Chocolate Candy Coating
Chocolate Cookie Icing (Betty Crocker)
Leaf Sprinkles
Orange Candy Coated Sunflower Seeds
Lollipop Sticks
How To Make Owl Treats
Start out by shaping the caramel bits into triangles using your fingers. Poke your sticks in the bottom of a Rice Krispie treat. Break a pretzel rod in half. Break the other half into another half. Cut the ends to fit on the side of the pretzel half using kitchen scissors. Attach with the chocolate cookie icing and then squeeze more icing on top. Add the leaf sprinkles on top and let that set for about 15 minutes.
Attach the shaped caramel bits on the sides to look like wings using the icing. Attach on the white chocolate candy melts on the front for eyes and chocolate chips for the pupils. We pinched off a couple of caramel bit pieces for the ears. Attach the pretzel tree on the bottom using the icing and we also used orange candy coated sunflower seeds for the beak & feet.
Let everything set for another 15-20 minutes before standing it up. Here is a side view….
These would also be very cute to make for Fall class parties at school!
