I am the room mom this year for my older sons 4th grade class & totally forgot that I needed to make the kids some treats for Thanksgiving until later this afternoon. I needed something quick & easy! We are always loaded up on Keebler & Hershey products so we created these fun Reese’s Turkey Cookies!
We spotted turkey cookies from Bake at 350 & loved them. That’s what inspired us to make these cute little guys. I didn’t have time to mess with coloring frosting, baking, etc..plus I have little helping hands & didn’t want a mess. These are great cookies to get the kids to help with themselves & they will love separating the colored M&M’s as well!
Easy Reese’s Turkey Cookies
Keebler Butter Cookies
Reese’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups
Hershey’s Mini M&M’s
Jet-Puffed Mallobits
Black Edible Marker
Chocolate Cookie Frosting (Betty Crocker)
Red Sprinkles
Start out by cutting the mallobits in half with a knife & press a black edible marker in the middle. We came up with this years ago & I use these eyes for lots of our fun food creations! A cheap way to make little edible eyes. Have the kids separate the yellow, orange. & red mini M&M’s in 3 separate bowls. Take a hand full of the orange M&M’s & cut them in half. Take the chocolate cookie frosting & make 3 lines on the top. Add a strip of red at the top..then orange in the middle..then yellow at the bottom. Attach the peanut butter cup on the with frosting as well. We used the orange M&M’s halves for the feet & beak. We used a red sprinkle for the wattle. Let them dry & that’s it!!
We made 24 of them & I think the kids will love them tomorrow!

So cute. I like that you used M&M's for the feathers and the beak. I bet the kids loved them!

Thanks Beth…I hope they do!:)
I am surprised with all the the allergies you can still bring peanut butter into school. They look very cute but we could never bring cookies let alone PB>
Thanks…our school goes by the class. There is no one in my sons 4th grade class with allergies. If there was…I would use a different candy for them.
