Instant Pot Cranberry Butter

Cranberries are the flavor of Thanksgiving!  Much like turkey and pumpkin pie, you expect to see them on table. If you want to enjoy cranberry flavor all year long or just outside of dinner, you will want to make this Instant Pot Cranberry Butter.

I love using my Instant Pot to make meals, but things like this easy butter recipe are a new favorite.  This cuts back on cook time is easy to clean up, and is a great way to make a food gift that everyone loves.

Can I Make This Cranberry Butter Recipe in my Slow Cooker?

You can definitely make this cranberry butter recipe in the slow cooker instead of the Instant Pot. It will take longer for the cranberries to soften and cook down but it is an easy way to make this recipe if you do not have an Instant Pot or just do not want to have to stand around while making the recipe.

Cook on low for 4-6 hours for the best results in your slow cooker.

How Long is Cranberry Butter Good For in the Refrigerator?

While it tastes best at room temperature or even slightly warm, it does need to be refrigerated.  It is best used within 2-3 weeks of making.  Store in an airtight container or mason jar for best results.  I also recommend taking the time to date and label it so you know how old it is.

Ingredients for Cranberry Puree Sauce

  • Fresh cranberries
  • Brown sugar
  • Oranges
  • Water

Other Things You Will Need

  • Instant Pot
  • Juicing cup
  • Zester
  • Measuring cup
  • Food processor

How to Make Instant Pot Cranberry Butter

Zest the oranges and put it in the Instant Pot then squeeze the orange juice into the measuring cup.  Add in the water to the measuring cup to reach the 1 cup mark, and set this aside.
Put the water, cranberries, and brown sugar inside your Instant Pot and mix together.
Place the lid to seal and set the pressure to high for 10 minutes.  Let the Instant Pot cool completely before using the release valve to remove any additional pressure.
Pour the cranberry and orange mixture into a food processor and puree.  If using a blender, make sure it has cooled completely before doing this.
Pour into mason jars or containers with lids and store in the refrigerator until time to serve.

  1. I am a major cranberry person but with chron’s I have to be careful with skins , I am figuring out how to run things through a sieve to remove the skins. The flavor and consistency are a little different. I think your recipe will hold up to the changes I need to make. Can’t wait to try it.

    1. Hi Vivian, you are commenting on the cranberry butter. We have different caramel apple dessert. Which one are you referring to. Also, if the dessert is cooked, the alcohol will cook out and just give it flavor.
