Leprechaun Pops

We thought it would be fun to make some Leprechaun Pops out of Marhsmallows and Starburst. These are pretty easy to make because we used edible color spray. It’s so much easier than dipping in candy melts!

For the Leprechaun Hats you need….

Large Marshmallows (we like Jet-Puffed)
Square Marshmallows (for s’mores)
Green Edible Color Spray
Yellow Starburst
Black or Chocolate Cookie Frosting
Lollipop Sticks

Just take your large marshmallows and square marshmallows and lay them onto wax paper. Spray them with the color spray and let dry. Attach them together with a small amount of frosting. Push the hat on the stick. Take a yellow Starburst and pop it in the microwave for 8 seconds. Flatten it our with your fingers or a small roller. Cut a small square out with kitchen scissors. You can cut through the side to cut out the middle. It will just blend in when you push it together. Attach on the heart candies to make the shamrock. That’s it…very simple!

For the Leprechauns you need…

Large Marshmallows
Square Marshmallows (for s’mores)
Green Edible Color Spray
Yellow Starburst
Orange Starburst
Edible Eyes
Heart Candies
Black or Chocolate Cookie Frosting
Red Cookie Frosting
Heart Candies
Lollipop Sticks

Make the hats just like the above directions, but push a white marshmallow on the stick first for the face. Top with the hat. We attached edible eyes on with frosting. We put a orange Starburst in the microwave for 8 seconds and flattened that out into a U shape to make the beard. Cut around the edges with your kitchen scissors. It looked like this…

We used the scraps to make the hair. Attach with frosting and let dry. We used red frosting for the mouth.
