When it comes to this maple bacon cupcakes recipe, you are going to be amazed at how absolutely amazing they are. A moist flavorful cupcake, sweet creamy frosting, and then topped with crispy salty bacon.

Ingredients

  • Vanilla cake mix- Using cake mix will make the process shorter.
  • Eggs- Always use room temperature eggs.
  • Butter- Use unsalted butter to control the salt in your recipe.
  • Milk- You can use whole or 2%.
  • Maple extract- Use pure Maple extract for best flavoring.
  • Powdered sugar- This sugar will be added to make your frosting.
  • Heavy whipping cream- The whipping cream helps to make the frosting thick and stiff
  • Bacon slices- Make sure your bacon is finely chopped.

How to Make Maple Bacon Cupcakes

Line a cupcake pan with liners and set your oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all the ingredients for the cupcakes in a large mixing bowl and use a hand mixer to mix.

Spoon the mixture into the liners until about 2/3 full.

For 21 minutes, bake your batter.

Take out of the oven and set aside to cool.

To make the frosting, beat together the butter, powdered sugar,
maple extract, and heavy whipping cream in a standing mixer until well mixed, smooth and
stiff

Spoon in 1 C of the finished frosting into the piping bag and set aside.

Decorating the cupcakes :

Use the scooper to take some of the frosting and gently tap the ice cream scooper against the counter to smooth out the frosting.

Spoon the frosting onto the finished cupcakes.

Smooth the frosting into a disk shape that is thick, using a butter knife.

Sprinkle some bacon on top.

Pipe a dollop of frosting onto the middle of the bacon coated frosting.

When that is done, sprinkle more bacon and add a little bit of maple syrup on top.

Ingredients
  

cupcake Ingredients

  • 1 box Vanilla cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 1 C whole milk
  • 1 tbsp pure maple extract

Maple Frosting :

  • 1 ½ C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
  • 4 C powdered sugar
  • 2 TBSP Pure maple extract
  • 3-5 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 12 crispy bacon slices finely chopped
  • 1 large piping bag with star tip
  • 1 medium ice cream scooper
  • 12 slices bacon crumbled

Topping:

Cupcake Directions :

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line cupcake pan with cupcake liners
  • Using a hand mixer, combine all the ingredients for the cupcakes in a large mixing bowl until combined
  • Scoop cupcake batter into the liners filling about ⅔ full
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 21 minutes
  • Remove and allow to cool!

Frosting Directions

  • Using a standing mixer, beat together the butter, powdered sugar, maple extract, and heavy whipping cream until combined, smooth and stiff
  • Scoop 1 C into the piping bag and set aside

Decorating the cupcakes :

  • Using the ice cream scooper, scoop some frosting and lightly tap the ice cream scooper onto the counter to get the frosting to smooth out
  • Scoop the frosting onto the cupcakes
