We made treats today for volunteers at a Community Makeover event that our church here in Atlanta does every year. Hundreds of volunteers get assigned to different locations around our community & they fix up peoples homes, schools, etc… Just helping anyone in need & we think it’s wonderful! We wanted to make something for the kids that are also helping out & thought that these Paint Brushes & Hammer Treats would be super cute! We did however get assigned at the last minute to a location that involved people in need picking out clothes so the hammers & paint brushes might be a little confusing!ha That’s okay…I am sure they will get the point!:) We came up with the Hammer Treats, but the very talented Kim at The Celebration Shoppe came up with the Rice Krispies Paint Brush idea for the site Snackpicks.com that we also contribute to.

Hammer Treats
Kellogg’s Chocolate pre-made Rice Krispies Treats
Pretzel Sticks (we like Syder’s)
Start out by cutting the 2 bottom corners off using a round cookie cutter. Take those cut off pieces & shape to attach on the front & back to look like hammers. Everything will stick. Then press in a pretzel stick on the bottom…SO easy!
Here is a close up…
My boys thought these were awesome & they would also be a great treat to make for Father’s Day!
Paint Brush Treats
Kellogg’s premade Rice Krispies Treats
3 Cups of Powdered Sugar
1/2 Cup of Butter
2 Tb of Milk
1 tsp of Vanilla
Food Coloring
Popsicle Sticks
Press your sticks in the bottom of the rice krispies treat. Mix your frosting ingredients & separate in to 4 or 5 differed small bowls. Color the frosting & then spread on top.
These are so colorful & cute. Would also be fun for a art party!:)
