Yes! These will freeze perfectly. Make sure the balls are completely set (hardened back up) and line them in a tupperware container. Add a piece of wax or parchment paper on top and repeat until full. Seal the top.
How long do They last?
You can store in the freezer for up to 1 month.
You can also drizzle extra melted chocolate on top for a different look.

Peanut Butter Ball Tips:
- You can use any nut butters for this recipe. Almond butter, cashew butter, etc…
- Make sure the balls are chilled before dipping.
- We love these Chocolate Dipping Tools, but you can always use a fork for dipping. A toothpick will also work. Expect a bit of a mess, but it will work.
- You can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30- second increments, or over a double boiler.
- You can use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy if you prefer. We also like to add in Rice Krispies sometimes for some texture.
- Add any type of holiday sprinkles, chopped peanuts, sea salt or whatever you prefer. It’s all good!

First time to make peanut butter balls.
Everyone loved them. No need to try
another recipe this one is amazing. Thanks
Thanks Jo!
I am wondering how to make them so there’s no flat side from letting them rest on a sheet tray…….hmmmmmm. And is that a ganache you garnished them with at the end?
They last ingredient on this recipe says a tablespoon of vegetable shortening or coconut oil then you get down there to the instructions on how to make the peanut butter balls tells you everything except what to do with the shortening or coconut what do you do with that?
Hi Sherri. You can add one tablespoon of shortening or coconut oil to the chocolate to help make the consistency smoother and it also gives the chocolate a nice sheen.
Super easy to make and my family loves them. THANK YOU!!!
Thanks Tessa!
My 10-year-old granddaughter and I looked for a snack to make together. We found this and made it with ingredients I can eat because of my corn allergy: homemade peanut butter, sugar that is powdered, a little arrowroot starch, and a particular brand of semi-sweet chocolate disks. They are so yummy! I said they were homemade Reese’s when I took her home and was told this morning that her mama loved them! Great and easy recipe. Great experience with granddaughter.
So happy to hear this Lisa! Glad they loved them. Thanks!
