Peanut Butter Ball Tips:

  • You can use any nut butters for this recipe. Almond butter, cashew butter, etc…
  • Make sure the balls are chilled before dipping.
  • We love these Chocolate Dipping Tools, but you can always use a fork for dipping. A toothpick will also work. Expect a bit of a mess, but it will work.
  • You can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30- second increments, or over a double boiler.
  • You can use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy if you prefer. We also like to add in Rice Krispies sometimes for some texture.
  • Add any type of holiday sprinkles, chopped peanuts, sea salt or whatever you prefer. It’s all good!

This is my second time making peanut butter balls using your recipe, it’s a big hit with my family. For some reason when I started to roll the balls the peanut butter became very soft and it started to melt in my hand, any idea why that happened? That was my only dilemma this year. Thanks for sharing your secrets with us. Happy Holidays

    1. Jill says:

Thanks Kim. So it could be a few things. It could be the brand of peanut butter or maybe you used melted butter instead of room temp softened butter? Also maybe some more time in the fridge to firm up would help.

I was looking for a quick, easy peanut butter candy recipe for Christmas baking and this fit the bill. I got 29 small, bite sized balls.

    1. Jill says:

      Thanks Rockin’ Robin!

    2. Christa says:

Did you get 29 from the original measurements or did you add anything to it?
