It’s summertime and you’re looking for a refreshing dessert to cool down with, but you don’t want to turn on the oven.  This pie recipe is perfect for summertime. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious and refreshing pie that will cool you down. It brings together all of the classic flavors of pina colada in a creamy delicious, easy to make pie.

Key Ingredients

  • Cream cheese– This will help make the filling creamy.
  • Pina Colada mix– I am using the Bacardi Frozen Pina Colada Mix.
  • Whipped topping– The whipped topping combines with the cream cheese to add more creaminess but also lightens up the filling and makes it fluffier.

Is There Alcohol?

A lot of people wonder if there is alcohol in pina colada pie. There is no alcohol. The flavor comes from the drink mix and there is no alcohol added. If you want to include alcohol, add 1 shot of rum to the cream cheese mixture.

Variations to This Pie

While I am using a premade graham cracker crust, you can make your own too. Use 1 1/2 graham cracker crumbs, 4 tablespoons of sugar and 7 tablespoons of melted butter.

Want to add a twist to the crust? Try making it with crushed pretzels or even Oreos.

Swap the frozen juice for another flavor. This is a simple way to make any flavor of pie you like.
