Re-imagine pizza night with Pizza Pull Apart Bread. Made with biscuits, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni, it’s both easy to make and fun to eat. Customize with your favorite toppings and serve with pizza sauce.

This pizza pull apart bread is such a fun recipe for family dinner, game day, or parties. It’s made with biscuits to keep things quick and easy, garlic butter for lots of flavor, and, of course, pepperoni and mozzarella cheese. Once it’s baked to perfection, it’s enjoyed by pulling the pieces apart and dipping them in pizza sauce. So good!
We make homemade pizza pretty regularly, and pizza dip is one of the most highly requested dips in my house, but I think this pull apart bread may be the new favorite.
Why This Pizza Pull Apart Bread Is A Family Favorite
- Cheesy & easy. This pepperoni pull apart bread is loaded with gooey mozzarella – AND it takes just a few minutes to assemble. It’s a win-win for both the taste testers and the chef!
- Endless customizations. I opted to stick with pepperoni and mozzarella in my pizza pull apart bread but you can really use any pizza toppings you desire. Sausage, mushrooms, veggies…the possibilities are endless.
- Made for sharing. We love to serve this on game day, on family game nights, and any other time there are friends and family over. With every piece pulled off being perfectly bite-sized, it’s perfect for sharing.
- Fun factor. There’s just something about pulling pieces of cheesy bread apart and dipping it that feels extra fun. It just adds a little novelty to the meal or party, whether you’re a kid or an adult.

Recipe Ingredients
This fun appetizer is made with just a handful of ingredients. Scroll down to the recipe card below for the exact measurements.
- Butter – If you use salted butter, I would omit the additional salt in the garlic butter.
- Spices – Granulated garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt are added to the butter, which adds flavor to the biscuits.
- Biscuits – I opted for regular flaky biscuits. Other types may have different textures or flavors in the bread.
- Mozzarella cheese – Use a 16 ounce block of whole milk mozzarella cheese, not fresh mozzarella. Shred it yourself for the best texture and melt.
- Pepperoni slices – Or whatever your favorite pizza toppings are. (I included lots of ideas below.)
- Pizza sauce – I like to use my homemade pizza sauce, but any works.
How To Make Pizza Pull Apart Bread
This bread looks fancy and complicated, but it’s actually so easy to make! The printable instructions can be found in the recipe card below.

- Prep. Preheat the oven to 350F. Spray the pan with non-stick spray.
- Make the garlic butter. Whisk together the butter and seasonings. Set aside.
- Prepare the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters, then place half of them in a single layer in the pan. Do not press them down.

- Layer the bread. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top, filling any gaps. Drizzle half of the garlic butter over the cheese and top with the pepperoni slices. Repeat the layers.
- Bake. Cover the pan tightly with foil. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for 10-15 minutes, until the biscuits are fully cooked and the top is golden brown.
- Enjoy. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes then invert it onto a serving plate. Serve with warm pizza sauce.

Recipe Tips & Variations
There are lots of ways to customize this pizza pull apart bread. Here are some ideas.
- Grease the pan. It’s important to grease the bundt pan well, making sure to get into all the crevices. This will help the bread release easily when it’s finished cooking.
- Add more pizza toppings. Feel free to customize this pizza bread with your favorite pizza toppings, like cooked sausage, diced bell peppers, mushrooms, ham, or sliced olives.
- Try a different cheese. Swap mozzarella for a mix of mozzarella and cheddar or use provolone for a different taste.
- Adjust the heat level. Adjust the crushed red pepper flakes to your heat preference or omit them entirely.
- Other pan options. If you don’t have a bundt pan or tube pan, use a 9×13-inch baking dish and layer the ingredients similarly.
- Make it vegetarian. Skip the pepperoni and add more veggies like mushrooms, onions, or spinach for a vegetarian option.

Serving Suggestions
When it comes to serving pizza pull apart bread, the most important thing is to invert the dish when removing it from the pan, so that the biscuits are on top.
We typically serve this as a party appetizer with some sauces for dipping. Pizza sauce is the obvious dipper, but marinara sauce, ranch, and garlic butter are all great too, if you want a bit of variety.
They make a great addition to a game day appetizer table with other favorites like Dr Pepper wings and fried mac and cheese bites.

- Reheat: Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or in the microwave for 30-60 seconds until warmed through.
