These cherries are a great addition to your favorite cocktails and are amazing with whiskey drinks!
Spiced Bourbon Cherries Ingredients
- Sweet Bing cherries
- Water
- Honey
- Vanilla extract
- Nutmeg
- Cinnamon stick
- Orange
- Bourbon
How To Make Bourbon Cherries
- Place the cherries in two clean pint-sized mason jars.
- Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan on medium heat add your water, honey, vanilla extract and honey.
- Stir until combined.
- Add the cinnamon and grated orange.
- Stirring occasionally.
- You stir until the mixture reaches a simmer.
- Reduce heat to a low, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat, and strain the mixture into a bowl.
- Add in the spiced bourbon, and stir to combine.
- Pour the bourbon mixture evenly over the cherries.
- Set to the side so it can cool completely to room temperature.
- Secure the lids on the mason jars, give them a shake, and refrigerate for at least 3 days before using.
- The cherries will last for up to 2-3 months.

Wow! So tasty!
The ingredient list calls for bourbon, but the directions say to add spiced bourbon to the mixture. Is the bourbon supposed to be plain, or do you use a special bourbon?
