We came up with this fun Flag Cake using Sixlets candies & this is SO easy to make! The kids can decorate this cake all by themselves & this is a great cake to take to a July 4th party.

You can also try Patriotic M&M’s if you prefer those and it should turn out the same.
Sixlets Flag Cake
Chocolate Cake Mix
White Frosting
Red, White, & Blue Sixlets Candies
White Pearl Candies
Directions
Start out by baking a 9×13 cake. Spread a thin layer of white frosting onto the completely cooled cake.
Then you will add about 10 rows of blue Sixlets in the top left corner. Then rotate the red & white Sixlets using 2 in each row. You will not get 13..but who is really going to count them? Well..unless you are my husband who noticed that party right away.:) Here is a side view…
We added smaller Pearl White Candies to look like stars….
My 3 year old helped me make this cake & we had a blast!
Such a fun & super easy patriotic cake to make & we are sure this will be a big hit at your July 4th gathering!:)
