Cheese and Olive Penguins
I guarantee these adorable little penguins will be such a hit of your next Holiday party. They might look intimidating to make, but don’t worry! They are SO easy, and they don’t have to be prefect. Their imperfections just make them more unique and adorable. You can also add a little green onion scarf that would add some cuteness.
Ingredients You Will Need

- Black Olives
- Mozzarella Balls
- Carrots
- Cream Cheese
- Mini Red Peppers (optional)
- Toothpicks
How To Make Olive Penguins
These adorable little penguin appetizers are so simple to make.
- Make your carrot base
- Attach olive halves to the mozzarella ball
- Attach the head to the body and base using a toothpick or skewer.
- Add a little hat on top if desired for a more festive look.
If you do not have mozzarella balls, you can roll a teaspoon of cream cheese into a ball and add the olive halves on the sides. Then, you can smooth the front of the “bellies” with a knife.

Cheese and Olive Penguins
Ingredients
- 10 carrot slices
- 10 large black olives cut in half lengthwise
- 10 medium black olives
- 10 mozzarella balls
- 1 long toothpick or cocktail skewer
- cream cheese
- mini red peppers optional
Instructions
- Cut a small triangle from the carrot slice to form the "feet".
- Add the olive halves to the sides of the mozzarella ball securing with cream cheese. The olive halves can touch at the back, and open out in the front to form the wings.
- Take the small carrot divot and cut in half again to form the beak. Insert the beak into the small hole in the medium olive.
- Run the toothpick through the head, down through the mozzarella body, and into the carrot base.
- You can also cut the tips off of mini red peppers and attach them on the top of the penguin to make a Santa hat. Then add a dot of cream cheese to the top.
