  • Buttermilk– You can use milk with vinegar as a substitute.
  • Flour- You can use All-purpose for best results.
  • Vanilla extract- Use pure vanilla for best flavoring.

  • Nutmeg- This will give your pie a wonderful aroma.
  • Chocolate chips– These will be melted for your ganache.
  • Coffee Creamer- You will want to buy Hazelnut creamer.

How to Make a Chocolate Buttermilk Pie Recipe

Set your oven to 350 degrees and set your pie dish on a sheet.

Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl using a hand mixer.

One at a time, add in your eggs.

Add in the buttermilk, flour, vanilla, salt and nutmeg and beat until combined.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ C unsalted butter softened
  • 2 C sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 C buttermilk
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • tsp kosher salt
  • tsp nutmeg
  • 1 9 in deep pie dish unbaked

Chocolate ganache ingredients

  • 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ C Hazelnut Coffee Creamer

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place the pie dish onto a cookie sheet
  • Using a large bowl and hand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time
  • Beat in the buttermilk, flour, vanilla, salt, and nutmeg until combined
  • Pour into the pie dish and bake for 55-65 minutes or until set
  • Allow to cool completely before placing into the fridge overnight

Chocolate Ganache Directions

  • Using a small pot, bring the creamer to a slow simmer
  • Pour over the chocolate chips in a heat safe bowl
  • Whisk until smooth
  • Pour over cold pie and smooth evenly
  • Cut and serve
