What is the best Irish Whiskey for Brownies?

The best whiskey to use in these brownies is a brand that you like the taste of. Since this is what is lending flavor to the frosting, if you do not like the taste of the whiskey, you will not like the taste of the frosting. However, if you are looking for a brand because you are not sure what to buy, Jameson is a great tasting Irish Whiskey that most people tend to enjoy.

  1. Wonder if you could use whiskey in place of the water in the brownie mix?

    • I used Irish whiskey in place of water in the brownie mix and it seemed to work ok but I think there is still very little whiskey flavor in these brownies

  2. Could I freeze these brownies if they are frosted?

  3. I used whiskey in place of the vanilla and replaced half of the half&half with whiskey and it tasted fabulous!

  4. Has anyone tried this with Bailey’s instead?
