Are These Safe for Kids to Eat?

Whenever I make food, whether it is dinner or dessert, that has alcohol, I am asked if it is safe for kids. This is a personal issue. For some recipes, they say that the alcohol cooks out. In other recipes, the amount of alcohol per serving is minuscule. Whether you feel safe letting children have these cookies is a question that only you can answer. There is 3 tablespoons of alcohol used in the glaze, which is much less that a shot and it is spread out over all of the cookies.

What Flavor Cake Mix Should I Use for Bourbon Butter Cookies?

I use vanilla when I am making these cookies. You can use a yellow mix or any other flavor cake you like. I prefer the vanilla flavor.
