Peanut Butter Ball Tips:

  • You can use any nut butters for this recipe. Almond butter, cashew butter, etc…
  • Make sure the balls are chilled before dipping.
  • We love these Chocolate Dipping Tools, but you can always use a fork for dipping. A toothpick will also work. Expect a bit of a mess, but it will work.
  • You can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30- second increments, or over a double boiler.
  • You can use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy if you prefer. We also like to add in Rice Krispies sometimes for some texture.
  • Add any type of holiday sprinkles, chopped peanuts, sea salt or whatever you prefer. It’s all good!

I used the dark roast crunchy pb and added 2 oz bittersweet chocolate to the chips because we like dark. Delicious and gone in one dinner.

need to double this recipe. It doesn’t make many. Recipe doesn’t say where to put coconut oil. You have to look at the pictures to know where to put oil.

I’m making a bunch of them for our Christmas party on Sunday. Can you tell me how many balls (approximately) these make? I’m sure I will have to triple (at least) the recipe. Thanks for your help and for sharing this! ❤️

    1. Hi Peggy. One batch will yield 24 balls if you keep the size at 1″ or approximately 1 tablespoon. If you want the balls to be bigger, you will need to adjust accordingly.

Jill it doesn’t make many about 15-20 depending on size of balls. I would double recipe or make small balls. Also you can dye coconut red and green to make it look Christmasy

I made these last year and they were so good I am making these again. The family loved them and it’s a plus they are gluetin free.

    1. Hi Sadee. These can be kept on the counter in an airtight container. They can be refrigerated for longer storage as well.

  5. Hello, I have an order recipe from my grandma which is very similar but she uses paraffin wax in the chocolate and margarine not butter. Would it come out the same? I am having a hard time finding the wax. Thanks!

    1. Hi Michele. Yes, many older recipes did use paraffin. The wax also helped the chocolate to harder quicker. Most people nowadays don’t like the idea of put wax in their food so butter and oil are alternatives that help with the chocolates consistency and shine.
