Peanut Butter Ball Tips:

  • You can use any nut butters for this recipe. Almond butter, cashew butter, etc…
  • Make sure the balls are chilled before dipping.
  • We love these Chocolate Dipping Tools, but you can always use a fork for dipping. A toothpick will also work. Expect a bit of a mess, but it will work.
  • You can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30- second increments, or over a double boiler.
  • You can use chunky peanut butter instead of creamy if you prefer. We also like to add in Rice Krispies sometimes for some texture.
  • Add any type of holiday sprinkles, chopped peanuts, sea salt or whatever you prefer. It’s all good!

What do I use the shortening for that you included in the recipe?

    1. Jill says:

Hi Kerry. You’ll use the shortening or coconut oil in the chocolate. It helps with the consistency and adds a little shine to the chocolate.

if i dont have salted butter how much salt should I add?

    1. Jill says:

Hi Tamara. You’ll be fine using unsalted but if you want to add any, just add a pinch. Approximately 1/4 teaspoon of salt is in one stick of salted butter.

Sorry… I see the oil is optional. However if I were to use it…. Where?

    1. Jill says:

Hi Mac. You’ll use the shortening or coconut oil in the chocolate. It helps with the consistency and adds a little shine to the chocolate.
