How To Make Strawberry Margarita Truffles
Step 1. Add the butter and sugar into the bowl of a standing mixer and combine before adding in the lime zest and tequila and combining again. Put in the cake mix and sweet/sour mix and combine again. If needed, you can add an additional tbsp of the sweet/sour mix until you have your desired consistency.
Step 2. Put the dough into a sealed container and chill in the fridge for 3 hours. Take out the prepared dough and begin rolling it into 1-inch balls. Place the powdered sugar into a bowl and roll the dough balls into it. Arrange onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the balls into the fridge for 15 minutes to chill until firm.
Do Strawberry Truffles Use Real Strawberries?
This recipe does not use real strawberries to make it. The strawberry that is used in this recipe is a strawberry cake. This adds a tasty flavor along with other ingredients like lime to make it taste like a margarita.
How To Store Strawberry Margarita Truffles?
Place the truffles into an airtight container or Ziploc bag for the best storage method. These can be left at room temperature. However, if you want them to last longer, I recommend storing them in the fridge or freezer.
