We created this The Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Snack to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Eric Carle’s most famous book! We were recently contacted by The World Of Eric Carle to help promote their Very Hungry Caterpillar Contest and we are very excited to be a part of it!

My boys have always loved all of the Eric Carle books. They are timeless classics and it’s hard to believe that this year they are celebrating the 45th anniversary of The Very Hungry Caterpillar!

Caterpillar Fruit Art For Kids

We love creating fun fruit art and easy to make fruit animals and insects. It is a great way to get the kids imaginations and creativity flowing and this is a perfect way to get your little ones to try new foods! We used different fruits in this caterpillar to give different textures, colors and tastes.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Snack Ingredients

  • Fruit- apples, pears, kiwi, strawberry.
  • Decorating- raisins.

How To Make The Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Snack

  • Slice your fruit.
  • Line them up on a plate.
  • Use on the strawberry for the head.
  • Use a small piece from a apple to make the eyes and antennas.
  • Decorate with your mini chocolate chips and raisins.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Snack

We created this The Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Snack to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Eric Carle's most famous book!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Golden Delicious apple
  • 1 Granny Smith apple
  • 1 green pear
  • 2 kiwi
  • 1 strawberry
  • 6 raisins
  • 1 mini chocolate chip

Instructions

  • Start out by slicing each piece of fruit using a knife. Then cut the ends to fit and match up. Line them up on a plate.
  • Place on the strawberry for the head.
  • Cut a small piece from an apple to make the eyes and antennas (break a toothpick in half to attach).
  • Use a mini chocolate chip for the nose.
  • Cut the raisins in half and press them together for feet.
