Strawberry Mango Green Smoothie

This smoothie recipe is packed with everything you need to have a healthy breakfast. Smoothies are so easy to make and a great way to add in your daily fruits and veggies. This green smoothie recipe has the perfect amounts of both that makes this our favorite go-to smoothie. Even my kids love it and request it on a regular basis!

Ingredients Needed

All you need is a handful of ingredients (full amounts in the recipe box below).

  • Spinach: This is the green to your smoothie. Fresh spinach works best for this recipe.
  • Fruit: You can use frozen strawberries and frozen mangos for this recipe. Being frozen will help with the thickness and keep it cold.
  • Milk: I prefer to use almond milk for this recipe, but you can use other milk like soy, coconut milk or whole milk to give it a creamier consistency.

How To Make A Green Smoothie

This takes 5-10 minutes to make. It’s so quick and easy!

  • In a blender, add all of the ingredients and combine until smooth.
  • Add the blended mixture into a large glass and garnish with a fresh strawberry, if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Storing any Leftovers

Keep the smoothie in the blender or store it in an air-tight container for the best storage method. If the smoothie has froth on it when you take it out of the fridge, give it a quick mix and you are good to go.

Smoothies can last 2-3 days in the fridge in a sealed container. You can also freeze your smoothies to last longer. I like to freezer them in ice cube trays before placing them in a Ziploc bag in the freezer. This will make it easier to pop in the blender and mix again.

Variations

There are so many variations and additions you can add to smoothies with delicious results.

Here are a few options for swaps or add-ins:

  • Kale, Collar Greens, Swiss Chard or any Leafy Greens
  • Pineapple
  • Chia Seeds or Flaxseeds
  • Protein Powder
  • Any Frozen Fruit like Peaches, Raspberries, Blueberries, etc…
  • Avocado
  • Assorted Veggies
  • Fresh Ginger
  • Lemon
  • Greek Yogurt
