Made with cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and Kool Aid mix in a graham cracker crust, this No-Bake Kool Aid Pie is always a hit. It’s a quick and easy dessert for summer!

I do whatever I can to avoid turning the oven on in the summer, so I rely on no-bake desserts like orange creamsicle pie, pineapple delight, and this Kool Aid pie.
Kool Aid pie actually became a popular dessert in the South in the ‘90s, so it’s a dessert I grew up familiar with. Back then, my family would make it for summer picnics and BBQs, often alternating the flavor by using different Kool Aid packets. I was always partial to black cherry, so that’s typically what I make this pie with today. It’s still a hit at summer picnics and BBQs.
Why This Kool Aid Pie Is So Good
- 5 ingredients. One thing I love about this pie is that it only takes a few very basic ingredients, like cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, and Kool Aid mix. I even use a pre-made graham cracker crust to keep things extra simple.
- No baking required. All you need to make Kool Aid pie is a bowl and a mixer. There’s no baking or cooking of any kind, which makes it perfect for summer.
- Many flavor options. Since the flavor in this pie comes from the Kool Aid mix, there are as many flavor options as there are Kool Aid flavors. Black cherry is my go-to but we do occasionally switch it up with strawberry or tropical punch too.

Recipe Ingredients
This easy no-bake pie really requires just 5 ingredients. Be sure to scroll down to the recipe card below for the exact measurements.
- Cream cheese – The cream cheese should be softened to room temperature so it easily mixes with the other ingredients, without lumps.
- Sweetened condensed milk – Sweetens the filling and binds the ingredients together.
- Kool Aid mix – For this recipe, I used black cherry. Feel free to use other flavors like strawberry, lemon-lime, or tropical punch for a different twist.
- Whipped topping – Such as Cool Whip. Be sure to thaw it first.
- Graham cracker pie crust – To keep things quick and easy, I used a pre-made crust from the store.
- Maraschino cherries – Optional garnish.

Recipe Tips & Variations
Here are a few things to keep in mind when making Kool Aid pie for the first time.
- Fold in the whipped topping. While it’s best to use a mixer for the cream cheese, the whipped topping should be mixed in by hand with a spatula. Use a folding motion instead of stirring to incorporate it without deflating it.
- DIY Cool Whip. If you don’t have Cool Whip, you can use homemade whipped cream. Whip 1 cup of heavy cream with 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Clean, even slices. For clean slices, run your knife under hot water and wipe your knife with paper towels until dry. Between cuts, wipe the knife clean with paper towels.
- More topping ideas. Add sprinkles, chocolate shavings, or fresh fruit for extra decoration.

How to Store Leftovers
- Fridge: Store Kool Aid pie covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezer: You can freeze the pie for up to 1 month. Wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
