The next time you’re craving the classic orange creme flavor of an Orange Julius, make it in minutes in your own kitchen! Made with just six simple ingredients, you’ll be enjoying this iconic frozen treat often.
We have such great memories of getting an Orange Julius at the mall food court! It turns out to be a really simple shake to make from scratch with ingredients you can easily keep on hand.
Here’s what you’ll need to make Orange Julius (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy-to-print recipe card):
Orange juice concentrate – add the concentrate to the blender while it’s still frozen.
Water – it’s best to use cold water for this recipe.
Whole milk – other types of milk will work, but whole milk gives the drink just the right creaminess.
Ice cubes – the ice cubes will thicken the shake and ensure that it’s nice and cold.
Granulated sugar – sugar adds the perfect sweetness to the shake.
Vanilla extract – a little vanilla perfects the homemade Orange Julius. We used pure vanilla extract.
How to Make Orange Julius

How to Serve an Orange Julius
Chill the glass – place your glasses in the freezer for a few minutes before pouring in the shake for a pretty frosted glass.
Whipped cream – a dollop of Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream (try our recipe!) makes the shake look so pretty and extra delicious!
Orange slice – top the orange milkshake with a slice of an orange for a pop of color.
