Here are two version of a Leprechaun Fruit Snack that we have made and my boys loved these! I don’t know what it is about St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s one of our favorite holidays to make fun food. Maybe it’s all of the gold and rainbows that just make us all happy!:)
Leprechaun Fruit Snack
These fruit snacks are a healthy treat and easy to make. Best of all, they are something that you can get the kids involved in making. Get creative and use the fruit that you have on hand and the kids will love it!
Ingredients:
- 1 Green Apple
- 1 Clementine
- 1 Strawberry
- 2 Edible Candy Eyes
- 4 Mini Heart Sprinkles
- Peanut Butter
- Toothpicks
Directions:
- Start out by cutting the front off of the apple using a knife.
- Cut out a hat from that slice.
- Attach it on the top using peanut butter or half of a toothpick.
- Save your apple scraps to cut out a nose.
- Cut a slice from a strawberry to make the mouth.
- Press on the edible eyes with peanut butter if needed.
- Cut clementine slices in half to make the beard. Use some peanut better to attach or break toothpicks in half to secure if needed.
- Press the heart sprinkles on the hat to make a shamrock.
Another Leprechaun Fruit Snack:
Here is another version of a Healthy Leprechaun Fruit Snack that we made. Super easy to make and you can get creative with the items you have at home!
Ingredients:
- 1 Green Apple
- Sliced Peaches or Clementines
- 1 Strawberry
- 1 Grape
- 1 Banana
- 2 Raisins
- Green Fruit Roll Up
- Cut a green apple into the shape of a hat (you can just piece it together).
- Use sliced peaches or clementines for the beard.
- Cut a strawberry for the mouth.
- Cut a green fruit roll up strip for the hat with kitchen scissors.
- Cut a few slices of banana for the eyes and to make the clover.
- Use raisins for the pupils
- Use a green grape for his nose.
