St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Key Lime Pie Pops
This is our 1st St. Patrick’s Day treat that we have made this year & my boys said this is definitely one of their favorites! These Shamrock Key Lime Pie Pops are very easy to make & look so fun! My 3 year old helped me make these & we had a blast!
Shamrock Key Lime Pie Pops
Pillsbury Pie Crust
Key Lime Filling (premade…we like Lucky Leaf)
1 Egg White
Green Sprinkles (we like Wilton)
Green Food Coloring (optional)
Shamrock Cookie Cutter
Start out by pre heating your oven to 425. Then roll out the pie crust. Have the kids cut out the shamrock shapes with the cookie cutter….
Then take your key lime filling & add 1 drop of green food coloring to it & mix. Spread the filling on the top leaving the edges untouched. Then press the cookie stick on top like this…
Add another pie cut out on top & press around the edges using a fork. Beat 1 egg white until fluffy & add another drop of green food coloring. This is optional. Spread on the egg wash…
Then add the green sprinkles…
This is what they will look like before you bake them…
Bake in the over for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Let them cool & then put them into decorative straws. Here is a close up…
We wanted rainbow straws, but we couldn’t find any. We ended up finding stripped washi tape at Target…9 rolls for $1.45! We cut the strips from the tape & wrapped them around the cookie stick..they fit perfectly. We shared this idea on our Instagram. Any colorful straws would work as well….
