This Watermelon Hammer Cocktail is the BEST Summer drink you will ever have! Loaded with liquor with the most amazing watermelon tropical flavor!
Captain Morgan sure knows his way around rum. There are so many flavors! This particular drink uses Watermelon Smash rum, but you can make some crazy good stuff with the other flavors as well. For instance, what would this Spiced Rum Bacon and Chocolate Bundt Cake be without the rum? Oh, and here’s another rum “hammer” cocktail that you might like – Hawaiian Hammer.

Watermelon Hammer Cocktail
No one who loves a great summer cocktail should miss a treat like this one. It blends together Watermelon Smash rum with banana schnapps, watermelon vodka, and… you guessed it… even more rum.
It not only has the sweet taste of watermelon but it delivers a powerful burst of tropical fruit flavors as well. The orange juice and pineapple juices, along with banana schnapps will have you feeling like you’re sitting on the beach – minus the sunburn and sand. (And the people who play their music as loudly as they possibly can.)
Watermelon Syrup
This is not hard to make yourself, and you’ll be glad you decided to try. Why? Because watermelon syrup is so crazy good, you can put it in and on all sorts of things.
Don’t believe me? Put some on your next bowl of vanilla ice cream or in your next glass of iced tea and then we’ll talk. If you love watermelon, you’ll love this syrup.
All you need is a seedless watermelon, sugar, and a few minutes.
Puree a watermelon so that you have about 4 cups. Put it in a saucepan along with 1 cup of sugar. Simmer on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it has the feel of syrup. Let it cool, pop it in a Mason Jar, store in the fridge, and use it within 4 or 5 days. Isn’t that amazing? Something so good in such a short amount of time.
