This Blackberry Colada is a sweet and tart work of art! This unique pina colada recipe is made with blackberry liquor, pineapple rum, Tom Collins mix, blackberry syrup, whipped vodka, and Italian cream.

Blackberry Pina Colada

This pina colada recipe is so good and easy to make. You can serve this cocktail for parties, and events, or just enjoy it at home with friends or family. It has a blackberry flavor that is so addicting! Unlike a typical pina colada that uses coconut milk or coconut cream, pineapple juice, etc…this recipe uses pineapple rum and Italian creamer. A sip of this fun Summer cocktail will have you hooked in no time and will easily become a favorite.

Key Ingredients You’ll Need

  • Alcohol: I use blackberry liquor, pineapple rum (adds a nice pineapple flavor), and Tom Collins Mix for the purple layer and whipped vodka for the white layer.
  • Flavoring: I like to use blackberry syrup and Italian creamer (we prefer Italian, but Coconut creamer can also be used) for color and additional flavor.
  • Food coloring: I use neon purple food coloring, but you can use another deep color like dark blue.

How To Make A Blackberry Colada

  • Make the blackberry layer. Add the purple layer ingredients into a high powered blender and combine on high until smooth. Pour the juices into a pitcher and place it aside.
  • Prepare the whipped layer. Add the white layer ingredients into a blender and combine on high until smooth. Add into a pitcher and place it aside.
  • Assemble the cocktail. Add the fruit mixture into the glass using a small ice cream scoop. Top with the whipped mixture, then adds another scoop of the fruit mixture. Top with an additional white layer and then another fruit and continue until the glass is filled. It should come out to 3 parts green and 2 parts whipped. Tap the glass on the counter lightly to allow the layers to settle. Place a straw and mix before garnishing and serving. Enjoy!
