Ingredients

  • Cherry Dr. Pepper- The soda gives flavor and liquid to the ribs.
  • Ketchup- Ketchup is used in many rib recipes
  • Tomato paste- Using tomato paste lets you use less ketchup
  • Light brown sugar- Brown sugar adds sweetness and flavor.
  • Worcestershire sauce- While it might be hard to say it is fantastic in the ribs
  • Grenadine- Grenadine is often used in cocktails and it adds a fantastic layer of flavor to the flavor.
  • Seasonings- In this recipe, I am using Onion Powder, Black pepper, Liquid smoke, Jerk spice, All spice, Chili powder, Garlic, Chipotle seasoning
  • Baby back ribs- You can’t have ribs without the ribs.

How to Make Cherry Dr Pepper BBQ Ribs Recipe

Combine the soda, ketchup, tomato paste, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and all of the seasoning in a sauce pan. Whisk it all together well.

Bring it to a boil and then reduce it to low heat. Simmer it on the lowest heat possible for an hour. Stir it occasionally.

The sauce will become thick and reduce to about half.

Keep the sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
Place the ribs on a 9*13 baking dish that is lined with foil.
Sprinkle the ribs with Chipolte seasoning.
Then pour soda over the meat and fold the ends of the foil over to cover all the ends and seal the ends.
All the ribs to marinate for 2 hours.
When you are ready to grill, coat the grill with non stick spray and heat the grill to 325. Cook the ribs for 1 hour.
Check the meat and then rotate the meat and cook for another 30 minutes.
Remove the ribs from the grill and coat them in the BBQ sauce you made earlier.
Place the ribs back on the grill for an additional 30 min.
Continue to add the BBQ sauce to the ribs as needed to keep the ribs coated in sauce.
Serve immediately.
