How to Make Triple Chocolate Cake

Start the recipe by setting the oven to 350 degrees, then using Pam baking spray, grease 3, 9-inch round cake pans.
Next, combine the salt, flour, and baking powder into a large bowl and whisk to combine.
One at a time, add in the eggs and vanilla and beat to combine.
Switching back between the ingredients, add in the flour and then pour in the buttermilk, and continue to combine after each addition.
Portion out the batter into three separate bowls.
In one bowl, you will add in the dark chocolate.
In the next bowl, you will add in the milk chocolate.
Finally, in the third bowl, you add in the white chocolate.
Then, portion out the batter into each of the prepared cake pans.
Place the cake pans into the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until you place a toothpick into the center of each cake and it comes out clean.
Remove the cakes from the oven and set them aside to allow them to cool thoroughly.

Chocolate Ganache Directions :

Pour the heavy whipping cream into a small pot and heat until it begins to simmer.
Next, place the chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and pour the cream over it.
Let the two ingredients, sit for about two minutes before combining until smooth and fully melted.
Bring over your squeeze bottle and pour the mixture into it and set aside for later.

Frosting Directions :

Begin your frosting, by putting the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and whipping cream into the bowl of a standing mixture and beat until smooth and creamy.
Separate the frosting into three separate bowls.
Then, mix in each of the chocolates to separate bowls. Place the Dark chocolate in one bowl, the Milk Chocolate in the next bowl, and white chocolate going in the third and final bowl.

Assemble the cake:

Now, it’s time to finally assemble the cake. Take all of the cake layers out from the pans, and place them on cake boards.
Take the domes off the top of the cakes using a cake leveler.
Using a cake leveler to cut the dome off the cake.
You’re going to start off with the dark chocolate layer first and add about 1/3 of the dark chocolate frosting onto that layer and use a spatula to spread out evenly.
Spreading the icing on the cake layer.
Next, you’re going to place the milk chocolate layer on top of the dark chocolate frosting.
Then, you will add 1/3 of the milk chocolate frosting and spread it out evenly onto the milk chocolate layer using a spatula.
Spreading the frosting on the second cake layer.
You will continue this by adding the third and final layer of cake and adding a third of the frosting on top.
All the frosting on the cake.
Any frosting that you have leftover, will be placed in separate piping bags. Then, cutting the tips off of each of them.
Using the dark chocolate piping bag. You will place two rings on the outer edge of the cake.
Then, you will continue this step with some milk chocolate and white chocolate frosting.
Smooth out all the frosting using a cake scraper.
Now, grab the squeeze bottle from earlier and squeeze out the chocolate ganache all over the top edge of the cake and let it drip down the edges.
Next, you’re going to pipe dollops of the remaining frosting on top of the finished cake.
To finish off the cake, you will sprinkle it with some chocolate curls on the top.
