These Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites feature pretzel sandwiches filled with a creamy, sweet peanut butter mixture and dipped in chocolate. A quick, easy no-bake treat.

Peanut butter pretzel bites are one of my favorite ways to satisfy that chocolate peanut butter craving. They’re sweet and salty with the perfect balance of chocolate and peanut butter. Not to mention perfectly bite-sized which makes them great for sharing! They’re similar to my Rolo pretzel bites, swapping the Rolo filling for a creamy peanut butter mixture.
Why We Love These Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites
- Peanut butter & chocolate combo. We LOVE chocolate peanut butter in this house. I make chocolate peanut butter brownies and no-bake chocolate peanut butter bars pretty regularly. So naturally, these peanut butter pretzel bites dipped in chocolate quickly became a favorite!
- No-bake. My favorite part is that these pretzel bites require 0 baking. Just a mixer and a microwave. They’re easy to whip up anytime without turning the oven on, which I love.
- Easy to customize. Another fun thing about these peanut butter pretzel bites is that they are easy to customize and decorate. Keep them simple like I did here or add crushed candy bars, festive sprinkles, or any other fun topping.
Recipe Ingredients
Here’s an overview of the ingredients needed to make these pretzel bites. Scroll down to the recipe card below for the exact measurements.
- Pretzels – I like to use mini pretzel twists. You can use any pretzel shape you like as long as a sandwich can be made out of them.
- Creamy peanut butter – Use regular creamy peanut butter over crunchy so it blends nicely with the other ingredients. Keep in mind that all natural peanut butters, even “creamy” ones, tend to separate and have a gritty texture.
- Butter – Salted or unsalted works here, though I used salted. It should be at room temperature.
- Sugar
- Salt – Helps to enhance the other flavors.
- Powdered sugar – Sweetens and stabilizes the “dough”.
- Chocolate chips – I used equal parts dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips. Feel free to use all dark chocolate or even semi-sweet chocolate chips. I think dark chocolate pairs nicely with the sweet peanut butter mixture.

- Assemble. Place 1″ balls of the “dough” in the middle of each pretzel. Add a second pretzel on top and gently squeeze to create a 1″ thick sandwich.
- Chill. Place the baking sheet in the fridge or freezer for 20-30 minutes.

Tips & Variations
Here are a few tips for making these chocolate peanut butter pretzel bites.
- Final quantity may vary. This recipe makes approximately 30 sandwiches. You may end up with a few more or less sandwiches, depending on the size of the peanut butter ball, or the size of the pretzels used.
- Dust with powdered sugar. When adding the dough ball to the pretzels, it’s helpful to dust each one in powdered sugar so it doesn’t stick to your hands.
- Keep chilled. These need to remain chilled until right before serving as the peanut butter will become very soft and not hold together well if biting the sandwich in half. It will taste the same, but at room temp, it’s best to pop the entire sandwich into your mouth.’
- Other chocolate options. These can be dipped in dark, milk, semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, melting wafers or Almond Bark.

One of the fun things about these peanut butter pretzel bites is that there are a million ways to decorate them! Keep them simple as I did in this recipe by dipping them in chocolate and adding sprinkles or get creative. Here are a few ideas:

Peanut Butter Pretzel Bites
Ingredients
- 60 mini pretzel twists
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 Tablespoons salted butter room temperature
- 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- ¾ cup dark chocolate chips
- ¾ cup white chocolate chips optional
Instructions
- Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Add the peanut butter, softened butter, sugar and salt to a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Add the powdered sugar gradually, while mixing on low, until it is fully combined.
- Lay 30 pretzels on the baking sheet.
- Scoop out enough dough to make a small ball around 1” in diameter. Place the balls in the middle of each pretzel. (It’s helpful to dust each ball in a bit of powdered sugar to help it not stick to your hands when rolling.)
- Place a second pretzel on top and gently press the two pretzels together creating a sandwich about 1” thick. Place the sandwich back on the baking sheet.
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator or freezer for 20-30 minutes to firm up.
- After the sandwiches have time to set, add the chocolate chips to a small, microwave-safe bowl.
- Microwave on high in 15 second increments, while stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Do NOT overheat.
- Remove the sandwiches from the refrigerator and dip each sandwich halfway into the chocolate. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off, then place the sandwich back on the baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining sandwiches.
- Add sprinkles if desired, then place the baking sheet back into the refrigerator for another 15 minutes or so, until the chocolate is set.
- Serve immediately or chill until ready to serve.
