Ingredients You Will Need:
- Flaky Jumbo Biscuit Dough (such as Pillsbury Grands)
- Ground Cinnamon
- Granulated Sugar
- Melted Butter
- Coconut Oil Cooking Spray
How To Make Donuts In An Air Fryer
- Preheat air fryer to 360 degrees. To do this, simply turn your air fryer on at 330 degrees and let it run for about 3-5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.
- Open the can of flaky biscuits and cut the center out of each one using a 1-inch round cutter. Lightly coat air fryer basket with coconut oil spray (you can also use olive oil spray). Do not use non-stick spray like Pam (those sprays could be harmful to your air fryer).
- Place the donuts (not holes), in your air fryer. Bake for 5 minutes at 360 degrees. As the doughnuts are cooking, melt the butter.
- Using a silicone pastry brush, coat the baked doughnuts with your melted butter. Then cover the donuts with the cinnamon sugar mixture by dipping and rolling around. Use a spoon to coat the top as well. Gently shake off excess cinnamon sugar. Serve doughnuts hot.
Air Fryer Donut Holes
When you air fry the “holes”, set your timer for 3 minutes and repeat the process of dipping in butter and then adding the cinnamon and sugar mixture.
Supplies Needed To Make Air Fryer Donuts

I want to like these BUT canned donuts have a very distinct flavor that is overpowering. Pilsbury frozen biscuits are a great alternative for biscuits and gravy or sweet things.
Made the cinnamon and sugar donuts. Mine came out pretty good. But the inside was a little doughy. Either I cook them longer or slice biscuit dough in half to make it thinner
Thanks for the great info and hints! I love the easy print options too!
I made these today. They were great. Ended up cooking a little longer. My son loved them.
Absolutely delicious! My family and neighbors are raving about these donuts!
So easy for a quick weekend family treat. The saltiness from the biscuit balances the sweet so well. I did need to do the donut holes for 5 min to be done but mine were a tad bigger. I didn’t have a circle cutter and used a champagne flute instead so that might have been the issue.
So I ran of bread for morning toast. I was just going to bake a can of biscuits, but then remembered seeing this recipe. Glad I did. These were fun and easy to make. Even dad liked them. My only reminder is serve warm, when cooled they have a more biscuity flavor and texture.
Loved these biscuit donuts in the air fryer!!! Out of this world!! I bought Kroger brand jumbo version and they did not taste like a biscuit. They tasted like a fluffy donut!! I only made half of the package because I it was only my husband and I. I would make more and have a variety of toppings. Like glaze, cinnamon and sugar, or iced for next time. We had one separate but it was OK. Only when I went to cover in the cinnamon mixture. My husband ate that one and he asked why did it separate, lol. I did not tell him it was biscuit dough. Lol. Anyway so easy and extremely yummy! I would have eaten the whole package if I was by myself and would have regret they were so good!
My Air fryer is built into my stove, I don’t have to Preheat it, so do I just put it on 360 and go?
Ruth, correct, no need to preheat.
Delicious and easy! For a little something extra, use grands honey butter biscuits!
Can I use the regular country Pillsbury biscuits?
Great! We will be making these again real soon!
Ohmyword! I’m so excited to try these! These donuts (fried in Crisco) have been a Saturday morning treat since I was a little girl. About 10 years ago I just started quartering the biscuits & calling them beignets I told my girls we should make these all at the same time since we all live in different parts of the country’
If you use 2 cup powder sugar 2tbof milk in and dip them in then you will have glaze donuts it was good to
The donuts were absolutely delicious. I definitely will be making these again.
Make these!!!! Big hit!
These were absolutely delicious!!
Could you please explain why you set oven to 330 and not 360? Thank you
If you don’t pre heat won’t turn out. Preheat at 330 then turn to 360 to make.
Just made these with my daughter and she loved them!!
Way back when, these were all the rage and deep fried. Instead of cutting out a donut hole, you can put your finger through the center of the biscuit or use something else to poke through. No donut hole, unless you want one. I will be trying these soon.
Definitely satisfied my urge when I wanted a donut from the bakery! Easy! Thanks.
So these were yummy. The only problem I had was the layers of the flaky biscuits separated.
