Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
If you love chicken parmesan, you are going to love this recipe. It’s so good and it is ready in less than half an hour. The air fryer gives the chicken that crunch that makes the chicken parm amazing, then it is drenched in a delicious tomato sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese. This chicken will melt in your mouth. This will become one of your favorite recipes.
Ingredients You Will Need:
- Boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Flour
- Bread crumbs
- Egg
- Milk
- Garlic salt
- Seasoned salt
- Pepper
- Spray Olive Oil
- Tomato sauce
- Italian seasoning
- Ground oregano
- Sweet basil
- Brown sugar
- Pepper
- Minced garlic
- Parmesan cheese
- Fresh Italian flat leaf parsley
How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
Cut the chicken into large pieces and season well.
Place the flour and bread crumbs together in a bowl and mix well.
Place the egg and milk together in a bowl.
Dip the chicken into the flour and then into the egg and then back into the flour.
Put the breaded chicken in the Air Fryer and once the basket is full, spray the chicken with the olive oil spray.
Cook the chicken for 12 minutes, turning the chicken over halfway through.
Meanwhile, while the chicken is cooking, make the sauce.
Put the tomato sauce in a saucepan and season with garlic salt, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, basil, garlic, and brown sugar. Stir together well. Heat the sauce until bubbly.
Turn off heat, and set aside until chicken is done.
When the chicken is finished cooking, top the chicken pieces with the tomato sauce and slices of Parmesan cheese on top of tomato sauce, and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
Place the chicken back in the air fryer for 2 minutes, until cheese is melted and slightly browned on top. Serve and Enjoy!

Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients
- 1 - 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 cup milk
- Garlic salt - to season
- Seasoned salt - to season
- Pepper
- Spray Olive Oil
SAUCE:
- 1 large tomato sauce - 14 - 16 ounces
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground oregano
- 1 teaspoon sweet basil
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- Pepper - to taste
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
FOR TOPPING:
- 1 container sliced Parmesan cheese - or 1 wedge of Parmesan cheese you'll slice the pieces from the wedge
- Fresh Italian flat leaf parsley chopped finely
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into large pieces, and sprinkle with the garlic salt, seasoned salt and pepper
- Place the flour and bread crumbs into a dish, and mix well.
- In another dish, add the egg, and milk, and whisk together.
- Dip the chicken in the flour mixture, then in the milk/egg mixture, and back in the flour.
- Place the breaded chicken in the air fryer, and when the basket is full, spray the chicken with the Olive oil spray.
- Set the time for 12 minutes, and cook the chicken.
- Turn the chicken half way through cooking, and spray with Olive oil spray.
- Let the chicken finish cooking.
- While the chicken is cooking, place the tomato sauce in a heavy saucepan, add the garlic salt, seasoned salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, sweet basil, minced garlic, and brown sugar, and stir all together over medium heat, until the sauce is bubbly.
- Turn off heat, and set aside until chicken is done.
- When chicken is finished cooking, open the air fryer, and top chicken pieces with the tomato sauce, place slices of Parmesan cheese on top of tomato sauce, and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley.
- Place back in the air fryer for 2 minutes, until cheese is melted and slightly browned on top. Serve and Enjoy!
