Peach halves are sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar and a splash of bourbon (optional), then baked until warm and tender in this Baked Peaches recipe. Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream for a simple yet impressive summer dessert.

Baked peaches are one of those desserts that require almost no effort and somehow still feel impressive, like baked apples and fried bananas. The heat softens the fruit until it’s just tender, and the brown sugar and butter melt together into a caramel-like syrup that pools at the bottom of the pan. The cinnamon and vanilla deepen the flavor without masking the peach itself, and the lemon juice keeps everything tasting fresh rather than heavy.
We love to serve them warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It’s simple yet so good, and the ice cream balances the sweet flavors so well.
Why These Baked Peaches Are So Good
- Quick & easy. It takes just a few basic steps and a handful of ingredients to make this baked peaches recipe. It’s best enjoyed warm from the oven, which means it can be ready to go in about 40 minutes. I like to pop it in the oven while we’re enjoying dinner.
- A summer treat. This recipe is best with ripe summer peaches, which makes it one of the few recipes I’ll use the oven for in summer. Don’t want to heat up the oven? I included air fryer instructions too.
- Warm flavor. A bit of brown sugar, cinnamon, and a splash of bourbon add a sweet, warm flavor that enhances the peaches’ natural sweetness, without being overly sweet.

Key Ingredients
Here’s an overview of the ingredients needed to make these peaches. The exact measurements can be found in the recipe card below.
- Peaches – Look for peaches that are ripe but still firm to the touch. Cut them in half with the pits removed.
- Butter – Unsalted butter adds richness to the dessert.
- Brown sugar – Light or dark brown sugar both work. Dark brown sugar adds a richer, sweeter flavor.
- Cinnamon – Adds a bit of warmth to the peaches.
- Vanilla – Adds more depth to the flavor.
- Lemon juice – Adds an acidic element that balances the sweetness.
- Salt – A pinch of salt also helps add flavor and prevent the peaches from being too sweet.
- Maple syrup – Use real maple syrup, not pancake syrup here.
- Bourbon – A splash of bourbon adds that something extra to the peaches. It bakes off in the oven, leaving flavor behind.
How To Make Baked Peaches
These peaches take just a few minutes to prep and are ready to enjoy as soon as they come out of the oven. The printable instructions can be found in the recipe card below.

- Prep. Preheat the oven to 375F. Lightly butter a baking dish that’s just large enough to hold the peaches.
- Assemble. Place the ripe peaches cut-side up in the dish. Combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt then sprinkle it over the peaches. Add dots of butter on each one, then drizzle with vanilla, lemon juice, and bourbon.
- Bake. Bake for 25-30 minutes. The peaches should be fork-tender and the tops slightly caramelized.
- Enjoy. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
Make Them In The Air Fryer
These baked peaches can also be made in the air fryer.
Set it at 375°F and cook the peaches for 10 to 12 minutes. You’ll probably need to work in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.

Recipe Tips & Variations
Here are some tips to ensure the best baked peaches, as well as a few easy ways to customize them.
- Use “just right” peaches. Look for peaches that are ripe but still firm and not too soft. Soft peaches will be mushy after baking.
- Adjust the sugar. If peaches aren’t very sweet, add an extra teaspoon of sugar.
- Bourbon alternatives. Rum can be used in place of the bourbon, similar to how it’s used in bananas foster. You can also opt to omit the alcohol completely.
- Try it with honey. Honey or agave syrup can be used in place of the maple syrup, if desired.

Serving Suggestions
Baked peaches are typically served with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. Be sure to spoon any juices in the pan on top! Some homemade whipped cream, yogurt or a splash of heavy cream works too.
How To Store Leftovers
- Fridge: Baked peaches are best enjoyed immediately. However, leftovers can be stored, covered, in the fridge for 2-3 days.
- Reheat: Reheat the pan in the oven until heated through or individual peaches in the microwave. Keep in mind that they will soften more when reheated.
