A stack of tiger butter

If you love chocolate and peanut butter then you’re going to love this tiger butter recipe! It’s a simple fudge made with white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and chocolate. The chocolate is swirled in the peanut butter to create the effect of tiger stripes. This treat is fun to give as gifts for the Holidays.

Why You’ll Love This Tiger Butter Fudge Recipe

Here are a few reasons why we love this fudge so much.

  • Made in the microwave. The only “cooking” required for this candy is melting the chocolate in the microwave. That’s it!
  • Only 3 ingredients. All you need to make this recipe is white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and regular chocolate chips. Short and sweet!
  • Chocolate + peanut butter. Tiger butter has the perfect balance of creamy peanut butter and rich chocolate to please both the peanut butter and chocolate lovers. And if you’re already a fan of the chocolate peanut butter combo…you’re going to LOVE this fudge.

What You’ll Need

Here are the 3 ingredients you’ll need for this recipe. Scroll down to the recipe card below for the exact measurements.

  • White chocolate chips – White chocolate is melted with peanut butter to give it a smooth and solid fudge consistency.
  • Creamy peanut butter – Crunchy peanut butter is not a good option for this recipe, so use regular creamy peanut butter. I also recommend avoiding natural peanut butter.
  • Chocolate chips – You can use either milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or semi-sweet chocolate chips, depending on your preferences.

How to Make Tiger Butter

Here’s how to make this tiger butter fudge in just a few simple steps. You can find the printable version of the instructions in the recipe card below.

  • Prep. Line a pan with parchment paper.

  • Melt the chocolate. Heat the chocolate chips in another bowl until melted and smooth.

Tips for Success

Here are a few tips to help you make the best tiger butter fudge.

  • Use quality chocolate. For both the white chocolate chips and the chocolate chips, you want to choose a quality brand such as Ghirardelli for smooth melting and the best flavor.
  • Avoid natural peanut butter. A processed peanut butter like JIF or Skippy is best for this recipe. Natural peanut butter, even if it says creamy, has a different texture and sometimes separates.
  • Stir the chocolate frequently. When melting the chocolate, be sure to do so in 30 second increments and stir between each one. You don’t want to overheat it as it will have a drier, gritty texture.
  • Don’t overdo the swirling. When swirling the chocolate into the peanut butter, don’t overdo it or you’ll end up mixing them together too much and won’t have the pretty swirls.

Proper Storage

Keep the leftover fudge in an airtight food storage container. It can be refrigerated or held at room temperature and stay fresh for up to one week.

  1. I made this last year for Christmas and my family loved it! I’m assuming it’s good for awhile so I can make it now for Christmas?

    1. Thanks Michele. Yes, this fudge should keep for a few weeks in an airtight container in the fridge or at room temp for 7-10 days.

  2. 5 stars
OMGoodness, this recipe is easy to make and delicious! I don’t miss making those Fudge recipes that require cooking, testing etc. I used Milk Chocolate because that’s my favorite. This fudge reminds me a little bit of a Reese Cup, but better. 5 out of.5
