Tips & Tricks
Here are a few tips and suggestions for making this easy cheeseburger pie.
- Add more flavor. For extra flavor, consider adding cooked bacon crumbles, a layer of sliced pickles, or a spoonful of mustard (or any other sauces) to the beef mixture before baking.
- DIY Bisquick. If you don’t have Bisquick on hand, don’t worry. Try a homemade mix of 1/2 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
- Use different cheese. Feel free to swap the cheddar cheese for a mix of mozzarella, provolone, or Monterey Jack for different flavors.
- Adjust the sweetness. If you prefer less sweetness, use tomato paste in place of the ketchup or omit the ketchup all together.
How To Store & Reheat Leftovers
- Fridge. Leftover cheeseburger pie can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat. To reheat, cover with foil and warm in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes, or microwave individual slices for 1-2 minutes.
