Ingredients Needed
Here’s what you’ll need to make Creamy Strawberry Banana Salad (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card).
- Cheesecake pudding mix – you just need the dry mix, not fully prepared pudding.
- Milk – we used whole milk, but a lower fat milk will work well.
- Strawberry yogurt – use your favorite strawberry yogurt brand.
- Whipped topping – Cool Whip is the easy choice, but our homemade whipped cream is also a great option and very simple to make.
- Fruit – Fresh strawberries and bananas.
How To Make Strawberry Banana Cheesecake Salad
- In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and dry pudding mix until well combined and beginning to thicken. Whisk in the strawberry yogurt. Fold in the whipped topping and mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
- Wash the strawberries and dry them well. Cut off the green tops and slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces. I just cut mine in half. Next, peel the bananas and slice them into bite-sized rounds.
- In a large bowl, toss the strawberries and bananas slices together. Add the prepared dressing and stir gently until combined. Serve immediately or chill until serving.
Variations and Substitutions
Add-ins – Try adding a cup of mini marshmallows for added texture and sweetness or pecans for a crunch.
Flavors – Although we used strawberry yogurt, you can try other flavors like vanilla yogurt or blueberry.
Other Fresh Fruits – This salad is also really good with other berries, such as raspberries, blackberries or blueberries. We sometimes add in pineapple!
How to Store Leftovers
Keep the leftover salad in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to three days. Stir well before serving again.
