The Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Creamy Strawberry Banana Salad (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card):
- Cheesecake pudding dry mix – you just need the dry mix, not fully prepared pudding.
- Milk – we used whole milk, but a lower fat milk will work well.
- Strawberry yogurt – use your favorite strawberry yogurt.
- Whipped topping – Cool Whip is great, but any similar whipped topping will do fine.
- Fresh strawberries
- Bananas
How to Make Strawberry Banana Cheesecake Salad
In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and dry pudding mix until well combined and beginning to thicken. Whisk in the strawberry yogurt. Fold in the whipped topping and mix until smooth. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
Wash the strawberries and dry them well. Cut off the green tops and slice the strawberries into bite-sized pieces. I just cut mine in half. Next, peel the bananas and slice them into bite-sized rounds.
In a large bowl, toss the strawberries and bananas together. Add the prepared dressing and stir gently until combined. Serve immediately or chill until serving.
Variations
- Other Berries – This salad is also really good with other berries, such as raspberries or blueberries. Get creative!
- Marshmallows – Try adding a cup of mini marshmallows for added texture and sweetness.
- Different Yogurt – Although we used strawberry yogurt, you can try other flavors that you like.
How to Store Leftovers
Keep the leftover salad in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to three days. Stir well before serving again.
